By nature I am an opportunistic photographer. However unaccustomed I might be to taking contrived pictures, this challenge presented a challenge to serendipity. P.S. This is a full color photo.
hmmm...this is interesting...it looks more like a product photo to me... I think because the placements of your subjects look so deliberate. There is something I like about this photo a lot though...even though you have the large head phones smack dab in the middle of the photo (which can make a composition stagnant)it works because the cords go off first to the right then down the middle adding some movement and interest. I do feel like there should be some sort of text with this image since it looks so much like a product photo! The lighting is absolutely perfect as well!
I really like the lighting and how the cords are all curvy together. The cords are a great detail. I'm curious what it would look like in different positions, but not because I don't like the current one. I might have made them come together as a line instead of a right angle, but that might not have been as interesting as the right angle. Either way, I like the picture and do want to go buy some headphones now.
Diana's right that the cords help this photo out immensely. It makes the image more interesting than if they'd been all sitting in the middle by themselves.
I really enjoy the simplicity of this photograph- an interesting way that you laid them out- like the big headphones are surrounding or protecting the little ones. ~Em
We love living in the country because it provides so many opportunities for taking pictures throughout the change of seasons. In fact this blog is set up primarily for the sharing of some of the results of photography.
